After graduating in 2010, David opened his own solo probate, guardianship, and estate planning practice. He was selected and served as a member of the Dallas Bar Association Probate Council and has served as a co-chairperson for the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Elder Law Committee. He is an active member of the Probate, Trusts, and Estates Section of the Dallas Bar Association and currently serves as the Vice-Chairman for the section. David volunteers as an attorney for The Senior Source and serves on its Advisory Committee for the Guardianship Program. He has made several community and professional presentations on probate and guardianship related matters. He has served many North Texas Courts as a court-appointed administrator, guardian, trustee, receiver, attorney ad litem, and guardian ad litem.

Personal

Before joining Caldwell, Bennett, Thomas, Toraason & Mead, PLLC, David owned his own probate law practice. Also, before law school, he spent time in the marine transportation industry, including working as a merchant mariner where he piloted a ship through sections of Gatun Lake on the Panama Canal. In his spare time, he likes to fish, camp and learn everything he can about the World War II Pacific Theater.
